Industry Member Scholarships

The 2026 TIDA Cargo Skills & Liability Skills Seminars will be held April 14-16 at the Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. TIDA is offering ten (10) scholarships for the Cargo Skills Seminar and ten (10) scholarships for the Liability Skills Seminar.

eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be a TIDA Industry Trucking or Insurance Member in good standing.
  • There is a maximum of two (2) scholarships per company.
  • If you received a scholarship for any TIDA event in the past year, you may be wait listed.
  • Scholarships are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Scholarships Include

  • One (1) complimentary seminar registration fee - value of $450+
  • Up to $700.00 in travel reimbursement
  • Hotel Night(s) - value of $189 per night plus taxes/fees
    • Cargo Skills Seminar Scholarships: One (1) hotel night at the TIDA group rate at the host hotel, arriving April 13 and departing on April 14
    • Liability Skills Course Seminar Scholarships: Two (2) hotel nights at the TIDA group rate at the host hotel, arriving April 14 and departing on April 16.

Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the attendee.

The deadline to submit a scholarship application is January 6, 2026.

Applicants were notified on the status of scholarship applications via email. 

cancellation policy

TIDA is responsible to uphold the cost of your hotel room. All scholarship cancellations must be made using the cancellation form and be submitted no later than March 13, 2026.

If you accept the scholarship and do not attend the Seminar without cancelling, you may be ineligible to receive a future TIDA scholarship. If there is an unforeseen circumstance/emergency that you would like to be considered for an exception to this ineligibility, please advise TIDA as soon as possible.

Cargo & Skills Seminar Scholarships are non-transferable. Use of the scholarship promotional code is only valid for the awarded scholarship recipient and should not be shared with any other individual. Should the promotional code be shared, TIDA has full discretion to revoke the awarded scholarship.
