Diversity Grant

The Diversity Grant was established by the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) in 2021 to support companies that have demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and seek funds to promote trucking and transportation to underrepresented populations. Diversity grants may be awarded to organizations or individuals that directly or indirectly are aligned with the mission of TIDA.

Nominations for grants typically open in late winter. 2026 nominations are now closed.

Criteria for nomination:

  • A group or organization seeking grant money to support educational, community service, or outreach programs or projects relating to transportation;
  • The proposed project or program must include a goal or objective focused on the elimination of bias or the promotion of diversity; and
  • The project or program should contain an educational component.

The nominated party should:

  • Be located in or near (or be willing to travel at their own expense) to the upcoming TIDA Annual Seminar
  • Be seeking grant money to promote trucking and transportation to underrepresented populations

All submissions are reviewed by the TIDA Awards Committee and a recommendation will provided to the TIDA Board of Directors.
